Principal's Message
Nord Families,
From Camp Fitch to our Comet Impact Raffle winners, the past two weeks have been filled with wonderful memories at Walter G. Nord School. We truly appreciate your continued support as we head into the fall season.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are quickly approaching on Wednesday, October 8th and Monday, November 3rd. Your child’s homeroom teacher will be in contact with you to schedule a time to meet. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or the Nord Main Office at 440-988-4441. We strongly encourage all parents to attend.
Looking ahead to October, we have many exciting events at Nord, including our Fifth Grade 50 States Parade next Friday, the PTO Walk-a-Thon, and the conclusion of our first grading period. We hope you enjoy this edition of Nord News, which highlights these upcoming events and more!
Have a great weekend,
Nick Toney
Principal, Walter G. Nord School

Our fifth grade team had a wonderful trip to Camp Fitch! Thank you to our staff, parent chaperones, and Camp staff who provided our students with an amazing experience!
5th Grade Postcards Across America
Our fifth grade team has been collecting Postcards across America from all 50 states! Thank you to all of the families who have sent in postcards for our students!
5th Grade 50 States Parade
Our 5th grade students will be hosting a 50 states parade next Friday, October 3rd at 1:30pm at Marion L. Steele High School's Spitzer Stadium. Families are more than welcome to join us, please park in the High School stadium parking lot. Parents picking up their students after the parade must sign their student out with a staff member and can pick up their student in the back parking lot at Nord. If you have any questions, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.
Congratulations to Mrs. Mendez, our September Comet Impact Staff Member of the Month! Mrs. Mendez goes above and beyond for our Nord students and staff. She shows her Comet Impact daily by always being respectful, responsible, and safe. Thank you, Mrs. Mendez for all that you do for our Walter G. Nord School students and staff!
Congratulations to all of our students who won our Comet Impact Raffle for being respectful, responsible, and safe! Students have the opportunity to be entered into the Comet Impact raffle weekly by earning PBIS points.
Thank you Amherst Steele Football!
On Friday, September 12th, members of the Marion L. Steele Football team welcomed our students for "Fist Bump Friday" at Nord. We even had a special visit from Comet Man!
