3rd Grade Visits the Sandstone Quarry

Our third grade field trip to the Cleveland Quarry in Wakeman was a huge success! Students had the chance to see their learning come to life as they explored how sandstone is mined and transformed into blocks.

What better way to understand why Amherst is proudly known as the Sandstone Center of the World?

A big thank you to 3rd grade teacher Megan Kalchert for organizing this amazing hands-on experience for our students. Pictures are from the Dever/Hammond, Kalchert/Rua and Call/Kne 3rd grade classes.

All Smiles at Our Fifth Grade 50 States Parade

It was a fantastic day for our annual 5th Grade 50 States Parade! Each student researched a state and created a float to showcase what they learned. After presenting their projects in class, students paraded their colorful creations around the track for family and friends to enjoy. It was a beautiful day filled with creativity, learning, and Comet pride!
