Comets Join the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Comet Cares Events

This October, our Comet community is coming together to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month through the sale of Comets Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirts. Not only is this a wonderful way to show your Comet pride, but it’s also an opportunity to support an important cause — all proceeds from the shirts will be donated to the Nakon Foundation and The Power for Pink.

If you missed the pre-sale, don’t worry! A limited number of shirts will also be available for purchase at the Pink Out Game on Friday, October 10 for $20 each.

We encourage everyone to join us at the game and help us pack the stands in pink as we stand together in the fight against breast cancer. Thank you for supporting this meaningful cause and showing what it means to be part of Amherst Schools – A Community of Excellence.

Girls Tennis Senior Night

Last Thursday, the Amherst Girls Tennis team celebrated Senior Night before their match against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. It was a special evening filled with heartfelt moments, as each senior was honored with a personal speech read by someone meaningful in their life. Picture boards, thoughtful gifts, and a wonderful crowd of family and friends made the celebration truly memorable.

The event took place on our brand new tennis courts, providing the perfect setting for an afternoon of recognition and competition. This year’s senior class has been a dynamic and dedicated part of the program, leaving their mark both on and off the court.

We are proud to honor our seniors: Maria Bak, Kayla Bussard, Sadi Dorazio, Avery Hawley, Cali Smith, and Kenna Bosworth. We wish each of them the very best in their future endeavors and thank them for their leadership and commitment to Comet Tennis.
