Time away is always welcomed and appreciated, but there’s something truly special about having our school full again! Classrooms are buzzing with the energy, curiosity, and laughter of students learning alongside their peers. As we begin the second half of the school year, it’s been inspiring to see students return focused and motivated, setting new goals, exploring new ideas, and creating lasting memories.
Let’s keep this momentum going, continue supporting one another, and finish the year strong. |
Recycle Your Holiday Lights |
The Steele EcoLeague encourages you to recycle your old holiday lights instead of tossing them away! To make it easy, they’re offering two convenient drop-off locations where you can safely recycle your lights and help keep them out of the landfill. Drop-off options:
• Marion L. Steele High School - anytime during the month of January • Lorain County Collection Center - 540 S. Abbe Rd., Elyria Let’s keep holiday cheer out of the landfill and do our part for the environment! |
Celebrating Our Senior Athletes |
Last Saturday, Steele Hockey honored seniors Noah Cheatham, Vinny Kelley, and Anthony Palumbo on Senior Night. These outstanding young men have demonstrated hard work, dedication, and leadership throughout their time in the program. We wish them continued success as they move on to their future endeavors - once a Comet, always a Comet!
We also congratulate our Senior Swimmers Colin Reitzel, Diana Bacety, and Sophie Millard for their leadership and commitment to the swim program. Their impact has been felt at practices, at meets, and throughout Steele High School, and we wish them the very best as they finish their season and senior year strong. These outstanding seniors were honored at their Senior Night on Tuesday at Splash Zone.
