There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 19th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

January is School Board Appreciation Month and the Amherst Exempted Village School District proudly thanks the members of the Board of Education for their dedicated service to our students, staff, and community.

As leaders in our community, they give their time and expertise to guide the district, ensure fiscal responsibility, and support student success. We are grateful for their continued commitment to keeping Amherst a community of excellence that educates, equips, and empowers our students every day.

I would like to welcome our new board member, Ms. Holly Koepp. Ms. Koepp is eager to contribute to the Amherst School Board to help shape a future where every child feels supported and prepared for success. By listening, learning, and leading with integrity she aims to make decisions that benefit students and strengthen the district.

I would also like to congratulate Teresa L. Gilles on being the Board President and Dr. Amanda Messer on being the Board Vice President for 2026.

Applications are now open for the Little Comets Preschool Program for peer models who will be four years old by August 27, 2026. Enrollment is first come, first served.

Families will be notified by letter regarding placement. If accepted, next steps include registration and a $300 deposit. Students not placed will be added to a waiting list.

Tuition: $2,100 for the 2026–2027 school year.
