The First Grade wing at Powers Elementary smells deliciously sweet this week as students build their creative milk carton gingerbread houses!
Our third graders joined in on the fun, stepping in to help the first graders assemble their houses — now pros after making their own back in first grade. Using milk cartons, graham crackers, and plenty of frosting, students worked together to build sturdy (and tasty!) foundations.
Once the houses had time to set, families were invited in to decorate alongside their children. This annual tradition is always a favorite, and the joy and creativity filling the halls made it extra special this year.
