As we head into Winter Break, I want to wish our students, staff, and families a safe, restful, and joyful holiday season. Thank you for your continued support and partnership throughout the year.

May this break be a time to relax, recharge, and enjoy special moments with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming our students back in the new year.

When students return from break on January 6, all K-12 Amherst students will be eligible for a free breakfast. Each meal includes the main entree of the day, 2 fruit choices, and milk.

Breakfast is available using Nutrition Services funds, which are completely separate from the General Fund, ensuring our Comets get a healthy and tasty start to their day.

Please remind your student to know their 6-digit student number to receive breakfast.

Families with future preschoolers in our district are invited to attend the Little Comets Preschool Open House for the 2026–2027 school year on January 14 from 4:30–5:30 p.m. at Powers Elementary School.

Come learn more about the program, meet staff, and see what makes Little Comets such a special place to learn and grow.
